Leah Dodsworth Registered Psychologist
B. Arts (Hons) Psych and Master Soc Sci (Crim) with Distinction
Leah has been a practising psychologist for 20 years & started 3 Ducks Psychology in early 2018. Whilst trained in a wide variety of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Autism Spectrum Specific interventions & Trauma Focussed therapies, Leah primarily works from an Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) approach as she feels this is philosophically aligned with her therapeutic values, approach to treatment and in meeting her client’s needs.
She is excited by the future of these emerging treatments involving psychedelics & other non-traditional approaches to mental health to better assist those for whom traditional medical, pharmacological, and psychological therapies have been unsuccessful.
Whilst Leah works with many different psychological disorders, she has a passion for working with our emergency services personnel, first responders and other frontline workers as well as those experiencing complex PTSD from childhood trauma.
